CB Granada used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Martorell 84-46 on Saturday night. The game without a history. CB Granada led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. CB Granada outrebounded Martorell 43-29 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Martorell's players. Forward Eloy Almazan (199-84) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. At the losing side forward Albert Homs (201-94) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Nil Bria (195-97) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CB Granada will face Zamorano (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Martorell will play against Moron and hope to win that game.
