Regular Season Round 2: Niigata Albirex - Shimane SM 82-75

Niigata Albirex defeated Shimane Magic at home 82-75. Shimane Magic was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 24-14 third quarter run of Niigata Albirex. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) notched 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Kei Igarashi (180-80) supported him with 13 points. Four Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists by American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Shimane Magic. His fellow American import center Brendan Lane (206-90, college: Pepperdine) added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Shimane Magic's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shimane Magic will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path.
