Regular Season Round 3: Nishinomiya S. - Chiba Jets 72-93

An exciting game was played in Hyogo. Chiba Jets faced Nishinomiya S.. Guests from Chiba (2-0) smashed host Nishinomiya S. (0-2) 93-72. The game without a history. Chiba Jets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Chiba Jets' coach Atsushi Ono felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Naoki Tani (193-88) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for Nishinomiya S. in the defeat. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets' next round opponent will be Kyoto Hannar. at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nishinomiya S. will play against Toyama Grouses and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
