Regular Season Round 2: Cyberdyne IR - Iwate Big Bulls 74-60

Very expected game in Tsukuba where Iwate Big Bulls (0-2) were defeated by Cyberdyne IR (2-0) 74-60 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Cyberdyne IR. Iwate Big Bulls was better in second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Iwate Big Bulls to just 6 points in first quarter. American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. American center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-88, college: California) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 24 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Yuki Suzuki (185-91) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR will face Kumamoto V. (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Dragonflies and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
