Regular Season Round 1: Araski - Zamarat 63-54

Date: October 1, 2017
Araski used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Zamora 63-54. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zamarat won third quarter 26-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Araski won last quarter 21-13. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Zamarat to just 6 points in second quarter. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Zamarat outrebounded Araski 41-29 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Dutch guard Natalie Van-Den-Adel (185-90, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Venezuelan point guard Roselis Silva (166-91, college: Arkansas Tech) contributed with 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) answered with 24 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marina Lizarazu (173-95, college: Iona) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Zamarat. Araski's next round opponent will be Mann Filter (#13) in Zaragoza which should be an easy win for them. Zamarat will play at home against Gernika and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
