Regular Season Round 4: Nidaros Jets - Centrum 89-62

Nidaros Jets can celebrate their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Centrum (0-3) 89-62. Nidaros Jets forced 19 Centrum turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Centrum was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian guard Joel Spear (192-94, college: S.Oregon) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 assists. Forward Jorgen Kvalvaag (196-0) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Nidaros Jets' coach Thor Overmo felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Marcus Larsson (204-99) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) added 14 points in the effort for Centrum. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Nidaros Jets (1-2) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Tromso. It was Centrum's third loss in a row. Defending champion still closes the standings with three games lost. Nidaros Jets will play against league's second-placed Fyllingen BBK on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Centrum will play against Baerum Basket (#10) in Bekkestua and hopes to get finally their first victory.
