But Matera was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Perugia 93-82 on Sunday night. Umberto Meschini (188-94) fired 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. Center Alessandro Panzieri (199-95, college: High School) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Perugia players scored in double figures. Perugia's coach Filippo Fiorucci used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Nicolo Ravazzani (198-85) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and naturalized Argentinian swingman Franco Migliori (200-82) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Perugia will face Campli at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Matera will play against Nardo (#13) and hope to win that game.
