Otsuka A. smashed Tokyo Cinq R. at home 92-65. Otsuka A. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Cinq R.'s 38. They outrebounded Tokyo Cinq R. 42-26 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Otsuka A. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Tokyo Cinq R.'s players. American forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) chipped in 25 points and 8 rebounds. Otsuka A.'s coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Senegalese point guard Pu Elliman (202-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and guard Daiki Uematsu (187-90) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Tokyo Cinq R. will play next round against strong Tokyo HT trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo - Tokyo HT. Otsuka A. will try to continue on its current victory against Saitama Broncos on the road.
