Regular Season Round 3: Osaka Evessa - Toyota Alvark 65-68

A very close game took place in Osaka between Toyota Alvark and Osaka Evessa. Toyota Alvark (2-0) got a very close victory on the road over Osaka Evessa (0-2). Toyota Alvark managed to escape with a 3-point win 68-65 on Sunday evening. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Toyota Alvark made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). The former international forward Daiki Tanaka (191-91) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward David Wear (208-90, college: UCLA) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Shota Konno (184-85) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Toyota Alvark will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osaka Evessa will play against Aishin Sea Horses (#3) in Kariya and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
