Regular Season Round 2: Kagawa FA - Kanazawa Sam. 69-86

There was no surprise in Takamatsu where Kagawa FA (0-2) was defeated by Kanazawa Sam. (2-0) 86-69 on Sunday. The game without a history. Kanazawa Sam. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Kanazawa Sam. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Ide Yuji (181-88) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kanazawa Sam. will face Sendai 89ers (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Kagawa FA will play against Fukushima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
