Premier League top team - Al-Muharraq (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Samaheej (0-4) in Manama 113-45. Al-Muharraq held Samaheej to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.6 percent accuracy of the winners and had 22 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Samaheej only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Samaheej 67-25 including a 24-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Al-Muharraq players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Samaheej's players. It was a very good performance for American center Jordan Richard (206-89, college: CS Los Angeles) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 30 rebounds and 8 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Mohamed Nasser contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures. Mohammed Busafwan replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Mohammed Hameed added 12 points in the effort for Samaheej. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al-Muharraq have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Samaheej at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Al-Muharraq's next round opponent will be Al-Ittihad (#3) in Manama, which may be the game of the day. Samaheej will play against Al-Riffa (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
