Paulista top team - Vivo/Franca (11-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked America (3-10) in Sao Paulo 93-70. The game without a history. Vivo/Franca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 29-of-37 charity shots (78.4 percent) during the game, while America only scored seven points from the stripe. They outrebounded America 51-40 including 36 on the defensive glass. America was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Luis Felipe Gruber (206-85) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Darnell Artis (175, college: Gwynedd-Mercy) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Kleiton Torres (201-89) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vivo/Franca maintains first position with 11-2 record, which they share with Paulistano. America at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost.
