Regular Season Round 2: Sant Adria - Gipuzkoa UPV 59-64

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Sant Adria (1-1) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Gipuzkoa UPV (2-0) 64-59. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 38-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Senegalese power forward Oumoul Sarr (185-84) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Onintza Aduriz (183-91) chipped in 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Andrea Riley (165-88, college: Oklahoma St.) produced 10 points and 7 rebounds and Czech center Julia Reisingerova (194-98) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Sant Adria's coach Fabian Tellez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gipuzkoa UPV is looking forward to face Zamarat (#14) in Zamora in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sant Adria will play on the road against Campus Promete (#12) in Logrono and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
