Regular Season Round 3: Widzew - Sleza Wroclaw 40-67

Everything went according to plan in Lodz where Sleza Wroclaw (2-0) outscored Widzew (0-3) 67-40. Sleza Wroclaw dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Widzew's 20 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Sleza Wroclaw forced 28 Widzew turnovers. Widzew was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Agnieszka Kaczmarczyk (188-89) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian center Tijana Ajdukovic (196-91) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Sleza Wroclaw's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Klaudia Gertchen (182-96) came up with 10 points and 5 rebounds and guard Julia Drop (175-95) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Widzew in the defeat. Sleza Wroclaw will play against Energa Torun (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Widzew will play against MKK Siedlce (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
