Regular Season Round 3: Tsmoki-Minsk - Sirenos 69-63

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Belarusian Tsmoki-Minsk and 13th ranked Lithuanian Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas had identical 1-1 record. This time Tsmoki-Minsk used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Kaunas 69-63. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were already 13 points ahead at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 17-7 last quarter charge of Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas cut the lead to 69-63 at the end of the game. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas' 34. Tsmoki-Minsk players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American center Kai James (198-95, college: Florida St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Center Viktoryia Hasper (192-88) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Guard Dovile Saurazaite (174-92) answered with 21 points and forward Gabija Segzdaite (186-0) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Belarusian champion maintains fifth place with 2-1 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas at the other side dropped to the ninth position with two games lost.
