The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Joventut (0-1) in Badalona on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by FC Barcelona (2-0) 74-72. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. French center Kevin Seraphin (208-89) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Rakim Sanders (196-89, college: Fairfield) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Lithuanian forward Saulius Kulvietis (206-91) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and American swingman Patrick Richard (196-90, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Joventut players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. FC Barcelona is looking forward to face Burgos (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Joventut will play against Blusens Monbus in Santiago de Comp and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
