Regular Season Round 1: Valga - TTU 97-74

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of TTU (0-1) on the court of Valga on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Valga 97-74. The game was mostly controlled by Valga. TTU managed to win second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to TTU's 26. Guard Edgars Lasenbergs (189-95) stepped up and scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and power forward Roberts Freimanis (204-91, college: BS Liepaja) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side the former international Toomas Raadik (202-90) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and international Sten Olmre (192-95, agency: Players Group) scored 14 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
