Regular Season Round 2: Agustinos-Leclerc - Myrtia 93-99

Another exciting game was played in Leon between Myrtia and Agustinos-Leclerc where Myrtia (2-0) beat Agustinos-Leclerc (1-1) on the road 99-93. Agustinos-Leclerc was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 30-21 charge of Myrtia, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Myrtia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Agustinos-Leclerc was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. British Matthew Don (201-93, college: Cameron) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds. American center Chris Matagrano (206-90, college: New Hampshire) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Myrtia players scored in double figures. Myrtia's coach Quini Garcia allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Donovan Smith (206, college: Quinnipiac) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and his fellow American import swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Two Points) added 24 points in the effort for Agustinos-Leclerc. Myrtia will play against Fontedoso Carrefour (#10) in Avila in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Agustinos-Leclerc will play on the road against Albacete (#1) to get more than just one victory in their record.
