Very significant was Vicenza's (#8) 20-point road victory against Milano in A2 65-45. It was a great shooting night for Vicenza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (190-99, agency: BeoBasket) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and forward Lucia Ferri (182-85) supported her with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Stefania Guarneri (182-95) did not help to save the game for Milano. Forward Martina Picotti (184-90) added 4 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Milano's coach Ugo Pinotti rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vicenza will play against Fanola SML (#13) in San Martino di L in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Milano will play on the road against Udine Delser (#6) to get more than just one victory in their record.
