Regular Season Round 2: Distrito Olimpico - Real Canoe 54-69

We should not miss anothera road victory of Real Canoe (2-0) over Distrito Olimpico (1-1) 69-54. It looked good early as Distrito Olimpico took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Real Canoe had a 17-12 second period charge getting the lead and Distrito Olimpico was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 54-69. The best player for the winners was power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88, agency: ProDep Management) who scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Lucia Rodriguez (186-99) chipped in 13 points. Maria Villar (175-85) produced 19 points and center Daira Varas (193-89) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Real Canoe's next round opponent will be Almeria (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Distrito Olimpico will play against CVCD Granada (#1) and hope to win that game.
