Regular Season Round 4: SeaHorses - Osaka Evessa 89-61

Date: October 7, 2017
Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Osaka Evessa (0-3) was smashed by third ranked Aishin Sea Horses (2-1) in Kariya 89-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) contributed with 11 points and 9 assists for the winners. Five Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Takuya Hashimoto (186-94) added 6 points in the effort for Osaka Evessa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Osaka Evessa still closes the standings with three games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face again Osaka Evessa (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
