Regular Season Round 4: Cholet - Dijon 88-59

Date: October 7, 2017
Undefeated leader Cholet delivered the fourth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Dijon (0-4) 88-59. The game without a history. Cholet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dijon to just 7 points in third quarter. Cholet forced 23 Dijon turnovers and outrebounded them 37-23 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dijon's players. The winners were led by guard Killian Hayes (194-1) who scored that evening 18 points, 7 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Guyanese forward Youri Morose (200-97) supported him with 6 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Cholet players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by guard Damien Archinard (196-98) did not help to save the game for Dijon. Guard Dimitri Radnic (194-99) added 8 points and 4 steals for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cholet have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Gravelines and Strasbourg. Dijon at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Cholet's next round opponent will be Monaco (#12) on the road which should be another easy win for them. Dijon will play against ES Chalonnais (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
