Regular Season Round 4: CCRB Pro - ES Chalonnais 71-59

Very important is a road loss of second ranked ES Chalonnais (3-1) against eighth ranked CCRB Pro (3-1) on Saturday night. Visiting ES Chalonnais was defeated by CCRB Pro in Reims 71-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ES Chalonnais. It looked good early as ES Chalonnais took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CCRB Pro had a 29-13 second period charge getting the lead and ES Chalonnais was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-71. CCRB Pro forced 21 ES Chalonnais turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Martin Imhoff (183-98) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 assists. Forward Florian Fereira (200-97) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. CCRB Pro's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Hugo Besson (184-1) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Matthieu Missonnier (184-97) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for ES Chalonnais. CCRB Pro moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated ES Chalonnais. CCRB Pro will play against Boulazac (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ES Chalonnais will play against Dijon (#17) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
