Regular Season Round 4: Metropolitanos - Cangrejeros 66-69

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LNB took place in Caracas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Metropolitanos (2-2) to second ranked Cangrejeros (4-2) 69-66 on Saturday evening. 30 personal fouls committed by Metropolitanos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Anthony Perez (206-93, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and the former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) who added 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Alejandro Barrios (204-79) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cangrejeros maintains second position with 4-2 record having just two point less than leader Guaros 2. Newly promoted Metropolitanos dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Cangrejeros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Metropolitanos will play at home against the league's leader Guaros 2 (#1) and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
