Regular Season Round 2: Real Canoe - Lucentum 62-78

Very expected game in Madrid where Real Canoe (0-2) was defeated by HLA Alicante (2-0) 78-62 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-62. The best player for the winners was point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Mali center Boubacar Sidibe (205-94) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Lobo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. Point guard Oscar Herrero (182-87) produced 13 points and 4 assists and Jose-Miguel Perez (202-96) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. HLA Alicante will face CB Granada at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Real Canoe will play against Cambados (#13) and hope to win that game.
