Important game to mention about took place in Rodou. Kolossos HH (1-0) saved a 1-point victory at home edging Cretan Kings (0-1) 64-63 on Saturday evening. Cretan Kings was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 23-14 third quarter run of Kolossos HH. American point guard Malcolm Griffin (193-91, college: Fresno Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) stepped up and scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Marvin Jones (213-93, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Kolossos HH players scored in double figures. Kolossos HH's coach Aris Likogiannis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Stefan Moody (179-93, college: Mississippi) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and forward Haralampos Giannopoulos (200-89) scored 13 points. Kolossos HH will play against Panionios (#12) in Athens in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cretan Kings will play at home against Koroivos (#4) to get more than just one victory in their record.
