Regular Season Round 3: Souffel - Brissac Anjou 84-58

The biggest surprise of round 3 in NM1 took place in Souffelweyersheim where host Souffelweyersheim (3-0) crushed Brissac-Aubance (2-1) 84-58 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was point guard Theo Diehl (192-94) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Senegalese forward Elson Mendy (200-85) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Souffelweyersheim's coach Stephane Eberlin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Mali forward Mamadou Sy (196-85, college: Cloud County CC) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Brissac-Aubance will play next round against La Charite trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Souffelweyersheim will try to continue on its current victory against Vendee Challans on the road.
