Regular Season Round 3: Lattes Montp. - Tarbes 84-72

Lattes Montpellier defeated Tarbes at home 84-72. The game was mostly controlled by Lattes Montpellier. Tarbes was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Lattes Montpellier especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. International point guard Romane Bernies (170-93) accounted for 12 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Lattes Montpellier players scored in double figures. Lattes Montpellier's coach Rachid Meziane used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Canadian forward Michelle Plouffe (193-92, college: Utah) came up with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American swingman Angie Bjorklund (183-89, college: Tennessee) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Tarbes in the defeat. Tarbes will play next round against Hainaut trying to get back on the winning streak. Lattes Montpellier will try to continue on its current victory against Mondeville on the road.
