But ADBA was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Barcelona 67-56 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Joventut LC. ADBA was better in fourth quarter 14-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nerea Garmendia orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Eliana Soriano contributed with 16 points for the winners. American forward Ashley Beals (183, college: Miss.Valley St.) replied with 10 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for ADBA. Five ADBA players scored in double figures. Joventut LC will face Maquinaria Ensino (#6) in Lugo in the next round. ADBA will play at home against Barca CBS (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
