Regular Season Round 4: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Hyeres-Toulon 84-56

Hyeres-Toulon (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fifth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Visitors were rolled over by Pau-Lacq-Orthez 84-56. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hyeres-Toulon. The game was mostly controlled by Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Hyeres-Toulon was better in third quarter 12-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pau-Lacq-Orthez forced 23 Hyeres-Toulon turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Pau-Lacq-Orthez brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Alain Koffi (207-83, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Elie-Franck Okobo (188-97) who added 21 points during the contest. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach Serge Crevecoeur felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American-Armenian point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) responded with 13 points and 5 assists and Austrian Luka Asceric (201-97) scored 10 points. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Hyeres-Toulon. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against bottom-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (#18) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Hyeres-Toulon will play against Paris-Levallois (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
