Regular Season Round 2: Cagliari CUS - Marghera 57-52

Cagliari CUS used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Venezia 57-52 on Saturday night. Guard Chiara Rossi (170-88, agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Eugenia Caldaro (178-96) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized Argentinian forward Florencia Llorente (182-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Irene Pieropan (175-91) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Marghera's coach Paolo Seletti tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cagliari CUS will face Pordenone (#15) on the road in the next round. Marghera will play against Scrivia and hope to win that game.
