The game in Koroivos was also quite interesting. Aris (0-1) played at the court of Koroivos (1-0). Koroivos defeated Aris 71-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Koroivos. Aris managed to win second period 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aris to just 7 points in first quarter. American guard Quenton DeCosey (196-93, college: Temple) nailed 17 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Aaron Rountree-III (203-93, college: Iona) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds. American center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Panagiotis Vasilopoulos (202-84) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Aris in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Koroivos will meet Cretan Kings (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aris will play against AEK and hope to win that game.
