Viola RC used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Roma 84-83 on Sunday night. Viola RC outrebounded Virtus Roma 35-24 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Virtus Roma was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward AJ Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds. The other American import guard Chris Roberts (193-88, college: Bradley) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) produced 16 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international Aristide Landi (203-94) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Virtus Roma players scored in double figures. Virtus Roma's coach Fabio Corbani rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Viola RC will face Novipiu Casale (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Virtus Roma will play against Givova Scafati (#5) and hope to win that game.
