Regular Season Round 2: Lucca - Battipaglia 86-66

Date: October 8, 2017
The game in Lucca supposed to be also quite interesting. Battipaglia (0-2) played at the court of Lucca (1-1). Lucca did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Lucca. Battipaglia was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lucca shot 61.1 percent from the field. They also forced 20 Battipaglia turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Lucca especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was American center Porsha Roberts (188-93, college: SF Austin, agency: ProDep Management) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Swedish forward Binta Drammeh (180-92) chipped in 24 points. American guard Jori Davis (175-89, college: Indiana) produced 22 points and international center Olbis Andre (190-98) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lucca will face Napoli (#6) on the road in the next round. Battipaglia will play against Torino and hope to win that game.
