Regular Season Round 3: Quart - Sant Josep 66-70

Everything went according to plan when Sant Josep (2-0) defeated on the road Quart (0-2) 70-66 on Sunday. Quart was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Sant Josep, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Quart was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Antonio Ruiz who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Miquel Fons (185-98) contributed with 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Eduard Camos (193-90) answered with 11 points and Cuban guard Sigal Benitez (193-94) added 12 points in the effort for Quart. Four Quart players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
