Regular Season Round 4: Fukushima - Kagawa FA 67-74

There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Kagawa FA (1-3) defeated on the road much higher ranked Fukushima (2-2) 74-67 on Sunday. Fukushima was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 28-14 charge of Kagawa FA, which allowed them to win the game. Fukushima was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. American center Jarred Shaw (208-90, college: Utah St.) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) added 6 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kagawa FA left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Fukushima at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Kagawa FA will face Orange Vikings (#3) in Matsuyama in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fukushima will play on the road against Aomori Watts and hope to win that game.
