Regular Season Round 5: Hitachi SR - San-en 54-64

Everything could happen in Tokyo at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked San-en NeoPhoenix and 5th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers had identical 1-2 record. But Hitachi Sunrockers were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Hamamatsu 64-54 on Sunday night. Hitachi Sunrockers were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Canadian center Scott Morrison (213-86, college: Portland St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-91) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) scored 6 points and 13 rebounds. San-en NeoPhoenix (2-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Hitachi Sunrockers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
