But Monaco was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Villeurbanne 74-65 on Sunday night. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-10. Romain Poinas (203-98) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and DR Congolese Shekinah Munanga (201-97) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lyon-Villeurbanne (2-2) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Le Portel. Loser Monaco keeps the eleventh position with three games lost. Lyon-Villeurbanne will face Le Portel (#9) at home in the next round. Monaco will play against the league's leader Cholet having rather not much hope for a victory.
