Liga Metropolitana top team - USAC (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Millonarios (0-6) in Guatemala 85-38. USAC held Millonarios to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.2 percent accuracy of the winners. USAC forced 23 Millonarios turnovers and outrebounded them 54-28 including a 40-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-90) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Guard Luis Menendez (180-95) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds. Jose Palacios (-99) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and Erick Diaz added 4 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for USAC. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Millonarios lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. USAC will meet at home league's second-placed ELOHIM in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Millonarios will play against the league's second-placed ELOHIM (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.
