Regular Season Round 4: Basket Gdynia - JAS FBG 85-68

Bottom-ranked JAS FBG (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-68 loss to top-ranked Basket Gdynia (4-0) in Gdynia. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Gdynia. JAS FBG was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Basket Gdynia players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kahleah Copper (185-94, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. The other American import guard Victoria Jankoska (174-94, college: Michigan St.) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Basket Gdynia players scored in double figures. Canadian-Serbian forward Stephany Skrba (188-87, college: Michigan) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for JAS FBG. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basket Gdynia have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Artego Bydg. JAS FBG at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Widzew. Basket Gdynia will play against league's leader Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JAS FBG will play at home against Enea AZS P. (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
