Regular Season Round 3: AIK Basket - KFUM Uppsala 60-55

AIK Basket used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Uppsala 60-55 on Sunday night. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But KFUM Uppsala won third quarter 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Malin Edlund (183-88) who scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Croatian center Karla Vres (189-99) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Five AIK Basket players scored in double figures. AIK Basket's coach Anders Hard used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Heather Butler (165-90, college: Tenn-Martin) who recorded 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Jalen OBannon (185-94, college: E.Kentucky) added 7 points and 15 rebounds respectively. AIK Basket will meet Mark (#7) in the next round. KFUM Uppsala will play against Visby Ladies and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
