There was no surprise when Victoria (0-2) was defeated on the road by Gomel-Sozh (2-0) 79-65 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Gomel-Sozh forced 20 Victoria turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Victoria helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Tatsiana Tsyruliova (168-88) who scored 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Guard Marina Rakovskaia (173-92) chipped in 19 points. Five Gomel-Sozh players scored in double figures. Gomel-Sozh's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Anhelina Ambrozevits (176-0) added 11 points respectively for the guests.
