Very important is a home loss of third ranked Club Force (5-2) against fourth ranked Villa Nueva (5-2) on Monday night. Host Club Force was defeated by Villa Nueva in a tough game at home 82-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Club Force. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American guard David Goddard (185-89) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Enrique Samayoa (193-82) accounted for 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Center Helmut Esquivel (196-0) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Kevin Garcia (-96) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Club Force in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Villa Nueva moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Club Force. Villa Nueva will play against You Bet (#8) in Guatemala in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Club Force will have a break next round.
