Regular Season Round 2: The Flexx PT - New Basket BR 83-77
Date: October 9, 2017
No shocking result in a game when The Flexx PT (2-0) beat New Basket BR (0-2) in Pistoia 83-77 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. New Basket BR trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 28-16 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 77-83 at the end of the game. The Flexx PT made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The Flexx PT outrebounded New Basket BR 41-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import power forward Markus Kennedy (206-91, college: SMU) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four The Flexx PT players scored in double figures. The Flexx PT's coach Vincenzo Esposito used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Marco Giuri (194-88) replied with 21 points and Slovenian swingman Blaz Mesicek (197-97) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for New Basket BR. The Flexx PT will face Vanoli Cremona (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. New Basket BR will play against Umana Venezia (#5) and hope to win that game.
