Regular Season Round 2: Kalev/Cramo - Parnu 88-72

There was no surprise in Tallinn where Parnu (0-2) was defeated by Kalev/Cramo (2-0) 88-72. It looked good early as Parnu took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kalev/Cramo had a 21-14 second period charge getting the lead and Parnu was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-88. Kalev/Cramo players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international guard Martin Dorbek (194-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. The former international Kristjan Kangur (201-82) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Kalev/Cramo's coach Alar Varrak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Karl-Johan Lips (198-96) replied with 18 points and center Karl-Martin Kask (209-95) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Parnu. Four Parnu players scored in double figures. Kalev/Cramo will play against Tartu Ulikool (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Parnu will play against Rapla to get more than just one victory in their record.
