Regular Season Round 4: Boulazac - Gravelines 102-109

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Boulazac (1-3) was defeated at home by top-ranked Gravelines (4-0) 109-102 on Tuesday. Gravelines made 33-of-40 free shots (82.5 percent) during the game, while Boulazac only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Boulazac 36-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. Boulazac was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Matthias Flosse (209-98) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Lucas Bourhis (179-0) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Five Gravelines players scored in double figures. Point guard Adrien Labanere (175-97, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 26 points and 8 assists and Aygalenq Alexandre (187-97) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gravelines have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cholet and Strasbourg. Loser Boulazac keeps the eleventh place with three games lost. Gravelines will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Boulazac will play against CCRB Pro and hope to win that game.
