No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Al-Nweidrat (4-1) defeated on the road 9th ranked Sitra (1-3) 65-57. They outrebounded Sitra 48-35 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Ebrahim Albasri accounted for 22 points. Nigerian-American center Augustine Okosun (210-86, college: Kaiser) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds and Qatari center Mohammad Abdullah (205-82) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Sitra in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Al-Nweidrat. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al-Ahli. Sitra lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with three games lost. Al-Nweidrat's next round opponent will be Al-Riffa (#8) which should be theoretically an easy game. Sitra will play against Hidd and hope to win that game.
