Regular Season Round 5: Asker Aliens - Ammerud Bskt 90-70

BLNO top team - Asker Aliens (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Ammerud Bskt (3-3) 90-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ammerud Bskt. The game was mostly controlled by Asker Aliens. Ammerud Bskt managed to win second period 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ammerud Bskt 45-29 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Asker Aliens looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Ammerud Bskt's players. Forward Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) accounted for 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Asker Aliens' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. British center Morakinyo Williams (210-88, college: Citadel, agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Swedish forward Plaisir Mukoko (198-91) added 18 points respectively for Ammerud Bskt in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Asker Aliens have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Loser Ammerud Bskt keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Asker Aliens will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ammerud Bskt will play against Gimle BBK (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
