Regular Season Round 4: Zarautz - Estela 63-72

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Zarautz (0-2) was defeated at home by top-ranked Estela (2-0) 72-63 on Thursday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-15. But Zarautz won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zarautz was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Pablo Sanchez (198-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Lithuanian forward Justinas Olechnavicius (194-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Estela's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side guard Unai Eizaguirre (182-88) responded with 19 points and Estanislao Andres (185-90) scored 18 points. Estela moved-up to second place in Group A-A, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Zarautz still closes the standings with two games lost. Estela's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santander Cantbasket.
