There was a surprise result when Livani (1-1) won against Valkas SI (1-1) in Valga 83-71 on Thursday. Valkas SI was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Daumants Pabrieza (183-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Raimonds Pabrieza (189-88) contributed with 29 points for the winners. Livani's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Elvis Sukteris (194-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and forward Uldis Slapjums (196-85) added 15 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Valkas SI.
